Reporting to:       Director of Partnerships

Role Purpose

  • Responsible for developing and delivering the partner relationship management strategy.
  • Lead and develop a high performing team of relationship managers who ensure optimal relationships with our entire partner base – success of which is measured though high renewal rates, strong partner NPS and increased revenue.

Main accountabilities and key tasks:

  • Develop and deliver the partner relationship management strategy – keeping the roadmap to success constantly under review.
  • Build and maximise strong relationships with partners (includes travel to visit partner locations/attend conferences as necessary). Strive to understand their business, objectives, concerns and key success factors for the relationship.
  • Establish multi-tier contacts at the partner, with the ultimate aim of establishing a C-Level relationship.
  • Be a strong advocate for our partners internally make sure the partners voice is heard in cross functional environments.
  • Work closely with other senior stakeholders to ensure the partner proposition is fit for purpose and effectively communicated to our partners. Balance the requests of partners with and align expectations to our proposition and strategic objectives.
  • Provide thought leadership to the Operations function and wider organisation around how we want to be seen by our partners and what we can do to ensure our ‘partners first’ objective is met.
  • Provide regular insightful updates on our partnerships to the Leadership Team and Board as required.
  • Responsible for delivering a high renewal rate for our partners, with minimal margin dilution.
  • Ensure partners revenues are maximised. Drive your team to develop solutions which aim to enhance partner and trading performance and maximize return on investment.
  • Provide prompt triaging and management of partner issues (feeding actions into the right area)
  • Work with your team to develop short-term and long-term Partner plans including on-going analysis of outcomes and learning and opportunities.
  • Streamline and optimise how we manage our longtail partners.
  • Collaborate with Trading colleagues to produce analyses which will help partners understand pricing and performance – ensure this is communicated to partners in a timely and well-understood form .
  • Contribute to Partner growth by providing regular feedback, providing operational value-adds and support through valuable market knowledge/insights/product & technology, etc.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in similar/relevant role
  • Ability to understand financial and commercial indicators – possess great attention to detail and ability to prioritise workloads according to business focus and opportunity
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple concurrent projects and drive initiatives in a cross-functional environment
  • Experience designing and leading complex strategic programs with both internal and external stakeholders
  • High integrity, and excellent relationship development and negotiation skills
  • Business acumen to spot opportunities and speak knowledgeably about trading performance
  • Ability to understand financial and commercial indicators
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts in a simple manner
  • Ability to prioritise and manage several Partners Relationship Managers at once
  • Proven ability to create, develop, run, and deliver results from high performing teams
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple concurrent projects and drive initiatives in a cross-functional environment
