About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer to join our growing tech team. You’ll play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining cloud infrastructure on AWS, ensuring our systems are secure, scalable, and efficient. Main Accountabilities and Key Tasks:
- Collaborate with architects to design and deploy AWS applications at scale.
- Monitor and optimize cloud components for performance, uptime, and cost.
- Identify legacy systems suitable for cloud migration and lead modernization efforts.
- Build and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Implement monitoring and logging solutions to proactively detect and prevent issues.
- Write clear, effective documentation for cloud architecture and operations.
- Work through the full development lifecycle for AWS-based projects.
- Troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes.
- Partner with Security, DevOps, and Engineering teams to enforce cloud security and best practices.
Knowledge and experience:
- 3+ years in a similar cloud-focused role.
- Deep knowledge of AWS services and architecture.
- Proficiency with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Experience in Linux administration and shell scripting.
- Solid understanding of Kubernetes and container orchestration.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch).
- Strong grasp of cloud security principles and best practices.
- Experience with standards like PCI-DSS, GDPR, or CIS is a plus.
